Investigation in to Fatal Shooting at 2500 Sampson
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of two women at 2500 Sampson about 5:50 a.m. on Thursday (March 1).
The male victim, Marqueis Deshawn Rutherford, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two female victims, Angelica J. Valentine, 24, and Andrinna Boudreaux, 21, were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Detectives H. Hay, T. Colbert and R. Ridel reported:
Mr. Rutherford and Mses Valentine and Boudreaux were in their motel room at the above address when they heard a knock at the door. Rutherford opened the door and was shot by an unknown suspect. Valentine and Boudreaux were also wounded by the gunfire.
At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
