Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 15000 Markwood
June 5, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of two other men that occurred at 15000 Markwood about 3:30 a.m. on Monday (June 4).
The deceased victim is identified as Abraham Bateson, 31. One other victim, William Garza, 25 was transported by private vehicle to an area hospital in critical condition. A third male, Neri Garza, 51, was also transported by private vehicle to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective T. Andrade reported:
HPD officers responded to the above address and found Mr. Bateson deceased inside a vehicle. Further investigation determined Bateson got into an altercation with William Garza at a nearby location and exchanged gunfire. Bateson died at the scene. Both William and Neri Garza were also wounded and transported to the hospital.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
