Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13400 Townwood
June 4, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 13400 Townwood at 8:55 p.m. on May 19.
The identity of the male victim, 50, is pending notification to family members byt the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead on June 2.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer N. Luu reported:
The victim stepped into the street and was struck by a brown GMC Yukon. The driver of the Yukon stopped and was found not to be intoxicated. Witnesses stated the victim appeared to be intoxicated and was uncooperative with paramedics. He was found to be at-fault in the crash. The driver of the Yukon was questioned at the scene and released.
