UPDATE: Surveillance Video of Suspects Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 7003 McHard Road
July 24, 2018 - Houston police have released surveillance video of two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 7003 McHard Road about 9:35 p.m. on July 3.
The suspects are described only as two masked, gloved, and hooded males. Video of both suspects can be viewed on the HPD YouTube Channel at https://youtu.be/cGscAMD3FRw
The victim, Jose Fidel Gomez, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Miller and S. Murdock reported:
Two unknown suspects wearing gloves and hoods approached the front door of the convenience store at the above address. One suspect entered the store while the other held the door open and acted as a lookout. The first suspect pulled a gun and demanded money from the store clerk. Before the clerk could comply with the robber, one of his co-workers, Mr. Gomez, pulled out a gun. At that time, the suspect and Gomez fired one shot at each other. Gomez was fatally struck and both suspects then fled the scene on foot into the neighborhood behind the store.
