Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5500 De Soto
August 22, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 5500 De Soto about 7 p.m. on Tuesday (August 21).
The identity of the victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Thomas and Detective C. Sharp reported:
An HPD officer working an approved extra job at the Linda Vista apartments at the above address was requested by management to conduct a welfare check on a tenant in an apartment. The officer entered the apartment and found the female tenant lying on the living room floor deceased. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
