Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7800 Bellfort
August 13, 2018 - A man critically injured in an crash at 7800 Bellfort about 8:15 p.m. on August 3 has died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer J. Glenn reported:
The victim was operating a Honda CBR1000 motorcycle westbound at the above address. The male driver of a silver Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on Bellfort and made an unsafe left turn in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck the right passenger side of the Corolla.
HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased last Friday (August 10).
The Corolla's driver, determined not to be impaired, was questioned and released.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
