Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12630 Ashford Point Drive
April 2, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12630 Ashford Point Drive about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday (April 1).
The victim, Leroy Ellis, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Montalvo and D. Nabors reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and searched the area, but could not locate a shooting victim or any witnesses.
Later in the day, about 2:45 p.m., a passerby located Mr. Ellis deceased inside his vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and learned Ellis had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
