Investigation into Fatal Crash at 18100 Gulf Freeway
October 5, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 18100 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 4:05 a.m. today.
The identity of the male victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer B. Roberts reported:
The victim was driving a gray Jeep southbound on the Gulf Freeway service road and struck the rear of a tractor-trailer truck parked in a moving lane of traffic while making a delivery to a car dealership. The victim died at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
