Update: Additional Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7930 Corporate Drive
October 5, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a second suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7930 Corporate at 8:45 p.m. on January 3.
The suspect, Luis Contreras (H/m, 21), is charged with capital murder in the 263rd State District Court as well as felony evading arrest and felon in possession of a firearm. Oscar Rene Martinez (H/m, 19) was charged with capital murder in the same court on June 23. Both are accused in the killing of Martin Pineda, 38, of the above address.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner and Officer J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Pineda with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported by HFD paramedics to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where doctors later pronounced him deceased.
Further investigation identified Martinez as the suspect in this case. He was arrested on June 23 and subsequently confessed to his role in Pineda's death.
On Wednesday (Oct. 4), Contreras was arrested on an unrelated warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after he led HPD officers on a high-speed vehicule pursuit, which led to a multiple-vehicle crash at 7200 South Gessner.
