Investigation into Incident at 15555 JFK Blvd
October 3, 2017 - Houston police are investigating an incident in which two men fell through a window at 15555-B JFK (John F. Kennedy) Blvd. at 10:50 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 2).
Both males, Christian Chavez, 18, and Edwin Ortega-Navarro, 30, were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. Chavez sustained non life-threatening injuries while Ortega-Navarro is in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective T. Jackson reported:
Ortega-Navarro and his step-son Chavez were engaged in a physical altercation in a third floor room at the Country Inn & Suites at the above address. Witnesses reported Ortega-Navarro had been choking and pushing Chavez against the window until Chavez's body broke the window, causing both males to fall to the ground below.
The investigation is continuing.
