Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9200 Sandstone
November 13, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 9200 Sandstone about 7:15 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 11).
The male driver, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male passenger, also 30, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identities of both males are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer D. Jones reported:
The driver of a black Nissan Altima was fleeing a minor crash involving a white Chevrolet Tahoe at a nearby gas station when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck a tree.
Following the initial minor crash, the driver of the Tahoe pursued the Nissan. However, further investigation determined the Tahoe’s driver was not involved in the subsequent fatal crash.
The investigation is continuing.
