Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5500 Desoto

May 23, 2017 - HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 5500 Desoto about 1:45 a.m. today (May 23). 

The victim, Shaquille Wilson, 25, was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers R. Pemberton and S. Spivey reported: 

Mr. Wilson was talking with acquaintances at the apartment complex at the above address when two unknown males approached the group and engaged in casual conversation.  At some point, one of the males pulled out a gun and started yelling at Wilson and fired at least one shot, striking Wilson.  Both suspects then fled the scene on foot through the back of the complex. 

The suspects are described only as two black males in their early 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 to 180 pounds and wearing all black clothing.
