Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 4400 North Freeway
July 3, 2017 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the assault of a male that occurred at 4400 North Freeway at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday (July 1).
The suspect, David Michael Ives (w/m, 36), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A photo the suspect is attached to this news release.
Ives is accused in the assault of John Brittain, 44, who suffered a severe laceration to his arm and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital.
HPD Major Assaults Division Sergeant J. Dodson and Detectives A. Hernandez and J. Roberts reported:
Officers responded to a report of an assault at the above address and found Mr. Brittain sitting outside a restaurant. He had suffered a severe laceration to his arm and was transported to the hospital
Further investigation identified Ives as a suspect in this case and he was arrested without further incident.
