Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1350 Greens Parkway

January 4, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a woman at 1350 Greens Parkway about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 3).

Charles Bennett, Jr., 47, was transported by private vehicle to Houston Northwest Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.  The female victim, Aukeyanna Simmons, 22, was also transported to the same hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Senior Police Officer T. Andrade reported:

HPD officers responded to a report two shooting victims had arrived at the above hospital.  Upon arrival, it was learned both had been shot while sitting inside a vehicle at 1350 Greens Parkway.  The unknown suspect, who had been sitting in the back seat, then fled on foot.  Ms. Simmons drove to the hospital where Mr. Bennett was pronounced dead.
