Suspect Arrested,Charged in Fatal Shooting at 15503 Gateview Lane
December 27, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 15503 Gateview Lane about 6:40 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 21).
The suspect, Darrell Holmes (b/m, 52), is charged with murder in the 400th State District Court in Fort Bend County. A photo of Holmes is not available at this time, pending further investigation.
The victim, Terrance Hamilton, 56, of the above address was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Burrow and Officer E. May reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Hamilton lying in the street in front of his residence. Further investigation determined the shooting was the result of a dispute between Hamilton and Holmes.
On Saturday (Dec. 23), Holmes was charged with murder. He is currently in custody on two additional felony charges.
