Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 16100 West Hardy Road
October 4, 2016 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in a fatal crash that occurred at 16100 West Hardy Road at 1:45 p.m. Monday (Oct. 3).
The suspect, Timothy D. Dean (b/m, 34) is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 184th State District Court. A photo of Dean is attached to this news release.
He is accused for his role in the death of Estanisloa Romero, 71, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Salazar and Officer D. Jones reported:
Dean was driving a blue Chrysler Pacifica eastbound in the westbound lanes in the 1000 block of Greens Road. Mr. Romero was standing in the street in the construction zone at the above address with other members of his construction crew. Dean continued driving the wrong way on Greens until he struck the center median on West Hardy, continued eastbound onto West Hardy, striking Romero. The Chrysler came to a rest in a parking lot in at 1177 Greens Road.
Dean was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
