Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1807 McDaniel
May 23, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another that occurred at 1807 McDaniel at about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday (May 21).
One victim, Emanuel Carrillo, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Stark and G. Sullivan reported:
HPD officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Carillo deceased in the driveway. Additional investigation revealed there had been a previous argument between a resident of the house and her ex-boyfriend. At one point, the argument escalated between the two groups of people and shots were fired. Carillo and a second male were struck. The wounded male was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
