Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4200 Mowery
June 13, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4200 Mowery about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (June 11).
The victim, Carlos Castaneda, 23, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Senior Police Officer J. Roscoe reported:
A witness driving at the above address reported seeing the victim, Mr. Castaneda, lying in the street near a pickup truck. Upon seeing Castaneda was bleeding, the witness called for Houston Fire Department paramedics.
Further investigation determined Castaneda had driven to Houston from the Brownsville area for an unknown reason.
