Surveillance Video, Photos of Wanted Robbery/Assault Suspect


June 1, 2016 - Houston police have released surveillance video and photos of a robbery suspect caught in the act of the crime at 600 Capitol about 6:30 a.m. on May 16 and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described only as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds.  He was wearing a white shirt, black pants and a black hat.

A male victim, 37, had just exited a bus and was getting ready to cross the street at the above address when the suspect approached and suddenly punched him in the face.  The suspect continued the attack and caused the victim to fall to the ground.  The suspect then pulled on the victim's backpack and attempted to steal it.  The victim held onto his property and the suspect eventually fled the location.   The suspect did not say anything during the incident.
