Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11203 Sageland Drive
July 15, 2016 - The fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 11203 Sageland Drive about 12:20 a.m. today (July 15) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The victim, Jacob Lara, 19, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Garcia and Officer K. McDonald reported:
Mr. Lara and his girlfriend, 16, were talking while she was holding a gun and attempting to make it safe. At this time, it appears the gun accidentally discharged, striking Lara in the face.
The investigation is continuing.
