Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Man's Death at 2226 Ewing
January 19, 2016 - A suspect charged in the death of a man at 2226 Ewing about noon on Monday (Jan. 18) has been arrested.
The suspect, Curtis Holliman (b/m, 32), is charged with murder in the 178th State District Court. A photo of Holliman is attached to this news release.
The victim, Dexter Taylor, 46, of the above address, suffered burns to his body and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A second male victim remains hospitalized with non-life threatening burns to his body.
HPD Homicide Division Officers I. Ulloa and E. Wohlgemuth reported:
During an argument with the two victims, Holliman, threw gasoline on them and then lit it on fire.
Earlier today (Jan. 19), Holliman was arrested without incident.
