Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 7120 Village Way
December 22, 2016 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 7120 Village Way at about 8 p.m. on Monday (December 19).
The suspect, Lamar Cooks (b/m, 27), is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court for his role in the death of Arturo Ramirez, 27.

HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Moss and K. Fregia reported:
Mr. Ramirez and Cooks were involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the Concord at Gulfgate Apartments at the above address. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and saw Ramirez running north out of the parking lot, before collapsing on the sidewalk just outside of the complex. Ramirez was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Further investigation identified Cooks as a suspect in this case, who remains at-large.
