Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7300 Kingsway Drive
December 14, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman that occurred at 7300 Kingsway Drive about 12:15 a.m. today.
The victim, Carla Marizol Carias, 22, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Officer M. Arroyo reported:
About 11:30 p.m. a tenant of the apartment complex at the above address heard noises outside his apartment. He looked out the window and saw two male suspects burglarizing his girlfriend's vehicle. Witnesses, including the victim, went outside as the suspects got into their vehicle. As they slowly drove off, one of the suspects fired his gun out the window toward the witnesses and Ms. Carias was struck. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported Carias to the hospital.
The suspects, described only as two black males, fled the scene in a black, four-door sedan.
