Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8602 Valley Meadow
August 8, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8602 Valley Meadow at about 10:30 p.m. on Friday (August 5).
The victim, James M. Stegall, 37, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Young and L. Bailey reported:
Officers responded to a report of person down at the above address and found the victim inside the residence. He had sustained a gunshot wound. Witnesses stated that there had been a small gathering at the house earlier in the evening, but no one witnessed the shooting. The victim was later identified by family members.
Investigators are seeking to speak with Jeffrey Stegall who was at the scene at the time of the shooting.
