Update: Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting at 10300 Shady Lane
April 4, 2016 - A suspect has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 10300 Shady Lane about 1:50 a.m. on January 30.
The suspect, Laneric Brad Holmes (b/m, 26), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. Holmes was already in the Harris County jail on an unrelated charge. A photo of Holmes is not available at this time.
Holmes is accused in the death of Misael Arrellanes, 39, of the above address.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.A. Holbrook and Officer K. McDonald reported:
Neighbors and relatives of Mr. Arrellanes reported hearing a gunshot in the late night/early morning hours. A neighbor looked outside and saw Arrellanes lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. HPD patrol officers and HFD paramedics responded to the scene where paramedics pronounced Arrellanes deceased.
Further information identified Holmes as a suspect in this case and, on Friday (April 1), Holmes was charged with murder.
