Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5601 Royal Palms
September 18, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5601 Royal Palms Street about 7:55 p.m. on Thursday (September 17).
The victim, Trumaine Miller, 27, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Smith and Senior Police Officer L. Lovelace reported:
Mr. Miller and a suspect got into a fight in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address. The fight was broken up by family members and friends of both men. The suspect then walked off, pulled a gun from his front pocket and shot Miller several times. Miller was then transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital. The suspect fled the scene.
