May 26, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and apparent suicide of a male suspect at 5402 Knoll Terrace about 9:30 p.m. last Thursday (May 21).

The victim, Leola Carter, 71, of the above address, and her husband, suspect Emanuel Carter, were pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Officers C. Sharp and M. Arrington reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported suicide call at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Ms. Carter dead from an apparent gunshot wound.  At this time, it is believed she was shot by her husband, Emanuel Carter, who then shot himself.

The investigation is continuing.
