Help Sought in Identifying Suspect in Improper Photography of Juvenile
June 11, 2015 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in the improper photography of a juvenile male that occurred at 1050 Quitman about 3:40 p.m. on April 2.
The suspect is described only as a black male, 35 to 45 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall and 185 to 200 pounds. A surveillance photo of the suspect is attached to this news release.
A 13-year-old male was using the restroom at the library at the above address when he saw a cell phone appear under the stall. The phone was described as a black and blue Samsung cell phone with ear buds wrapped around it. The juvenile attempted to kick the phone, but the suspect moved it. The juvenile then left the restroom and waited for someone to come out but, after waiting a short time, he reported the incident to his mother. The mother then called HPD and library officials were notified.
Investigators believe the suspect has photographed other children.
Anyone with information on the identity of the wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Special Victims Division at 713-308-1100 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
