Update: Suspect Arrested in Man's Death at 8900 Irvington
December 29, 2015 - A suspect wanted in the death of a man found at 8900 Irvington about 9:05 a.m. on October 25 has been arrested.
The suspect, Charles Everett Walton (b/m, 42), was taken into custody on December 19 by deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. Walton is charged with murder in the 176th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Abraham Soto, 45, of Houston. An autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined Soto was stabbed to death.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Senior Police Officer R. Martinez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address. A witness called 9-1-1 and told officers Walton admitted to killing Mr. Soto. A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene were consistent with witness statements and a murder charge was filed on Walton.
Following Walton's arrest, HPD homicide investigators traveled to Dublin, California to interview him in the Alameda County Jail. He admitted to his role in Soto's death and is awaiting extradition back to Texas.
