Update: Surveillance Photo in 2013 Fatal Shooting Investigation at 6100 Havendale
December 22, 2015 - Houston police homicide investigators have released a surveillance photo of a suspect's vehicle in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 6100 Havendale about 10:30 p.m. on December 21, 2013.
The wanted vehicle is described only as an older model GMC or Chevrolet truck. A surveillance photo of the truck is attached to this news release.
The suspect(s) are wanted in the fatal shooting of Jamarcus Owens, 21, and the wounding of a second man, 20, who was treated and released from Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.L. Holbrook and Senior Police Officer P. Vela reported:
Mr. Owens picked up his friend (other victim) from his job and drove to the above address where Owens then parked his vehicle on the street in front of the friend's home. At that time, an unknown vehicle, believed to be a GMC or Chevrolet truck, approached Owens' vehicle. Several shots were fired from a person(s) inside the suspect's vehicle. Owens and his friend were struck. The friend ran inside his residence to alert his family of the shooting and then returned outside to assist Owens. Paramedics pronounced Owens dead at the scene and transported his friend to the hospital.
There is no known motive or suspect(s) in the shooting at this time.
