April 29, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a robbery at 8615 Tidwell about 10:55 a.m. on April 19.

The male suspect, 16, is being referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a robbery charge.

The suspect approached two small children near their mother's vehicle in the parking lot at the above address. The suspect walked toward a 2-year-old boy and forcibly took an iPad from him. As the suspect took the device, the boy was knocked to the ground and suffered minor injuries. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

On Tuesday evening (April 28), the suspect was brought in and turned over to investigators by his parents after they saw surveillance video air on local newscasts and recognized the suspect as their son.

At this time, investigators believe the suspect may be responsible for several other robberies. The investigation is continuing.
