May 19, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 800 Almeda Genoa about 7 p.m. on Sunday (May 18).

The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer D. Jones reported:

The victim was driving a white Toyota Solara westbound on Almeda Genoa when she failed to maintain a single lane and struck a tree.
