June 5, 2014 - The fatal shooting of two men at 14647 South Main about 4:30 p.m. on May 14 will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
Desmond Akens, 20, and Keivan Breaux, 20, both suffered gunshot wounds. Mr. Breaux was pronounced dead at the scene and Mr. Akens was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The male shooter, 22, was not injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhoads and Officer R. Ridel reported:
Three male suspects, including Akens and Breaux, attempted to rob another male during a narcotics transaction in the Fuel Depot parking lot at the above address. The male then produced a firearm, shot Akens and Breaux, and fled in a dark grey, four-door, early 2000 Honda Accord, traveling inbound on South Main. The third suspect was not injured. He identified the male shooter, who was questioned and released, as this case will be referred to a grand jury.
