July 7, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 500 Fannin about 1:50 a.m. last Friday (July 4).

One male, Jimmy P. Sanchez, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer T. Van reported:

Witnesses stated Sanchez was driving a gray Nissan Xterra the wrong way, northbound, on Fannin when he struck a yellow Dodge Caravan, traveling eastbound on Texas.  Sanchez's vehicle then struck a black BMW M3, also traveling eastbound on Texas.  The driver of the BMW then struck a black Nissan Altima, also traveling eastbound on Texas. 

Sanchez died at the scene.  The driver and a passenger of the Caravan were transported to St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
