Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident at 600 East Crosstimbers
December 26, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 600 East Crosstimbers about 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 24).
The suspect, Raul Saenz III (H/m, 31), is charged with two counts of intoxicated assault in the 351st State District Court. He is accused for his role in the death of a woman, 47.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer K. Heaverlo reported:
The suspect was driving a silver Chevrolet Aveo at a high rate of speed northbound on Helmers and ran the red light at East Crosstimbers. The Chevrolet struck a gold Ford van traveling west on Crosstimbers. Passengers in the Chevrolet were ejected. One of them, a woman, 47, was pronounced dead the following day (Dec. 25) at an area hospital. Two persons in the van were transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver (Saenz) of the Chevrolet was determined to be intoxicated and he was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
