2nd Update: Person of Interest Sought in Fatal Shooting at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South
April 7, 2014 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South about 8:30 p.m. on March 6 and a robbery at 6142 Westheimer a short time later.
The suspect wanted for questioning is described only as a male with an alias of KC or Casey, and he may live in the area of Spice Lane in Houston. The male, who has not been charged at this time, was last seen leaving the House of Pies in a newer model white Lexus sedan. A surveillance photo of the vehicle is attached to this news release.
One suspect, Marquis E. Davis (b/m, 19), is charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 228th State District Court. The other suspect, Donald Nealey (b/m, 19), is charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 183rd State District Court. Both are accused in the killing of Stanly Babu Kumbanattel, 32, of Houston, who died at the scene. Davis and Nealey are also charged for their roles in the robbery at the House of Pies immediately after Mr. Kimbanattel's death.
Photos of both suspects are not available for release at this time, pending further investigation.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros and Officer V. McLean reported:
The victim was shot several times in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address. Witnesses reported seeing an unknown male suspect leaving the area where the victim was found.
Further investigation identified Davis and Nealey as the suspects in this case. Davis was arrested on March 7 and Nealy was arrested on March 10.
