November 12, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 835 Fair Oak about 8:05 p.m. last Saturday (Nov. 9).  

The victim, Carlos Nestro Silveria, 19, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer C. Scales and Officer L. Bailey reported:  

A young male known to Mr. Silveria pointed a gun at him and challenged him to fight.  Silveria did not follow the male and instead left the location.  Later that same day, Silveria saw the suspect with a group of males in the parking lot of the Villa de Matel Apartments at the above address.  As Silveria pulled into the parking lot and attempted to exit his vehicle, several males approached the vehicle.  At some point, Silveria was fatally shot.  

Investigators are searching for a white, four-door Toyota Corolla.
