March 11, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an infant at 1243 Bay Area Boulevard #1703 about 7:10 a.m. on Saturday (March 9).

The baby boy, one month, suffered no visible signs of trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer M. Waters and Officer J. Rexroad reported:

HPD and HFD emergency personnel were called to the above address following a report of a dead infant.  Upon further investigation, police learned the baby had a history of respiratory issues since birth.  The mother apparently lay down on the couch with the baby and fell asleep.  The father found his infant son unresponsive the next morning.

The investigation is continuing.
