July 22, 2013 - The fatal shooting of a man at 6802 Cullen about 7:05 p.m. on Sunday (July 21) is being referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The female shooter, 23, was not injured.

HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Ferguson and J. Saldana reported:

The female was pumping gas at the Gulf gas station at the above address when she was approached by the male, who made sexual advances towards her.  The female repeatedly told the suspect to go away, but he continued to harass her.  The male then advanced toward the female and produced a knife.  She became in fear of her life and shot the suspect with a rifle.  The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene by HFD paramedics.
