HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer P. Vela reported:
Mr. Stoneham pulled his vehicle into the driveway of his residence on West Troy. His teenage daughter was with him in the car when she exited the vehicle and walked to the garage. While the daughter was in the garage, she said her father remained at the vehicle, going through some things in the car. The daughter stated she heard what sounded like someone racking a shotgun and looked toward the street. She saw her father (Stoneham) and her stepfather (Bell) struggling with each other. The girl stated her stepfather pointed a shotgun toward her father and fired it once, striking him in the chest. When her father fell to the ground, the girl said her stepfather shot her father again in the chest. She said her stepfather then quickly walked to his black Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck parked a couple of houses down the street, got inside the truck and drove away.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alain Bell is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
