July 15, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5229 Peterson about 4:30 p.m. last Friday (July 12).

The victim, Tony Lee Hornsby, 53, of the above address, suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Saldana and E. Zugner reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a request to meet HFD firefighters at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. Hornsby shot.  Witnesses told investigators it appeared Hornsby had been shot during a robbery committed by two suspects, one male and one female.
