July 1, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3000 North Durham about 1:05 a.m. last Saturday (June 29).  

The deceased male, Blake Reeves, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer K. Heaverlo reported:

An HPD patrol sergeant was traveling southbound on North Shepherd when he observed Reeves operating a black Honda motorcycle without a working headlight.  The sergeant attempted to initiate a traffic stop and a short pursuit ensued when Reeves refused to stop.  The pursuit was callled off after the sergeant lost sight of the suspect.

A short time later, Reeves was found deceased in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in the 3000 block of North Durham.  He had failed to maintain a single lane and struck a parked tan Honda Accord.
