October 15, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11700 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 4:35 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 14).

The male victim, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Shaw and Officer I. Jefferson reported:

The victim was driving a gray Chevrolet pickup truck at a high rate of speed southbound on MLK Boulevard when the truck left the roadway and struck a wooden fence. The truck traveled through the fence, crossed the two southbound and two northbound lanes on MLK, went over a curb and then into a house. Paramedics were called and pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
