May 2, 2012 - Houston police patrol commanders have implemented a crime fighting initiative to target violent crime citywide.
At the direction of Police Chief Charles A. McClelland, Jr., commanders at patrol stations throughout the city are targeting violent offenders and those wanted on warrants and parole violations for violent crimes.
The initiative was discussed at a news conference today (May 2) at the headquarters of Crime Stoppers of Houston, which is featuring three violent offenders wanted for crimes in the eastside of the city. Brandon Demond Foster (b/m, DOB: 5-11-92) is wanted on a parole violation for aggravated robbery, Palmira Barron (H/f, DOB: 11-9-92) is wanted for robbery causing bodily injury and Samwell Osumba Ogaga (b/m, DOB: 12-26-89) is wanted for aggravated assault and robbery. Photos of all three are attached below.
Captain Robert Manzo of the Eastside Patrol Station said officers will distribute educational flyers to hang on doors at apartment complexes where many crimes occur late at night as would-be victims are congregating on sidewalks, in courtyards and other areas.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the three featured suspects is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
