Investigation into Incident at 10211 Cherry Limb Drive
June 4, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman whose body was found at 10211 Cherry Limb Drive about 1:05 a.m. today (June 4).
The victim, Lashonda Moye, 37, of the above address was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest where she was pronounced dead. Her cause of death is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant P. Jewel and Senior Police Officer R. Swainson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a 911 call reporting a home invastion at the above address. Upon arrival, officers did not see any signs of activity and were unable to make contact with the residents. The officers checked all the doors and windows and observed what they believed to be two unresponsive people in a bedroom bath tub. The officers made entry into the home and found the pair, partially clad, in the bath tub. Ms. Moye was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The second victim, Nathan Mitchell, was also transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Early in the investigation, Homicide investigators asked for the public's help in locating the 7-year-old son of Ms. Moye. It has since been determined the child is safe and in the care of family members.
