July 19, 2012 - The fatal shooting of a man at 5706 Saxon about 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday (July 18) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The deceased male, Charles Marion Robertson, 71, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The male shooter, 70, was not injured in the incident. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer B. Oxspring and Officer C. Cardenas reported: 

According to witnesses, Mr. Robertson and his brother-in-law were at their residence at the above address and got into an argument.  At some point during the argument, Robertson approached his brother-in-law in a threatening manner.  Fearing for his safety, the brother-in-law reached for his gun and shot Robertson, who died at the scene.
