July 12, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11100 Albury Drive about 9 p.m. on Wednesday (July 11).

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer B. Oxspring reported:

The victim was shot several times in the street at the above location.  Witnesses told police they saw someone, described only as a black male, running from the scene.
