December 17, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7300 Mullins about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday (Dec. 15).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Shaw and Officer E. Rubio reported:

The driver of a silver Infinity G35 sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Mullins and Jessiman. ;He then lost control of the vehicle and slid into a ditch, which caused the vehicle to roll over and strike a telephone pole. ;The vehicle then re-entered the roadway, crossed it, and struck a tree and a fence.

No other individuals nor vehicles were involved in the accident.
