Fatal Traffic Accident at 11400 Gloria
July 27, 2011 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which a felony theft suspect died following a police pursuit at 11400 Gloria about 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday (July 27).
The deceased male suspect, Jason Lloyd Trevino (H/m, DOB: 1-2-92), suffered internal injuries and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. Doctors pronounced him dead later that morning. A second male suspect, Bernard Dabie Seetaram (w/m, DOB: 9-18-85), is charged with felony evading arrest and felony theft in the 208th State District Court.
A photo of Seetaram is not available at this time.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
HPD patrol officers were pursuing Trevino and Seetaram, who were fleeing on a Kawasaki ATV four-wheeler in the 11400 block of Gloria. At some point during the pursuit, the four-wheeler went off the road and into a field at the end of Gloria. Suspect Seetaram then fell off the four-wheeler. Suspect Trevino, who was driving the four-wheeler, then lost control and the ATV flipped over. The patrol vehicle pursuing the suspects was unable to stop in time and drove over the four-wheeler, with Trevino still on it. A wrecker truck was called to the scene, lifted the patrol vehicle and freed Trevino, who was then transported to the hospital.
As is customary when an individual dies in the presence of an HPD officer, this in-custody death case is being investigated by the HPD Homicide and Internal Affairs Divisions.
