January 10, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9001 South Braeswood about 10:50 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 7).

The victim, Justin Lipkins, 21, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Senior Police Officer R. Cervantes reported:

Mr. Lipkins was involved in a physical altercation with an unknown suspect.  He walked to his apartment from an adjacent apartment complex and was shot near his apartment door.

The suspect might have fled in a green four-door sedan.
